Frost Crescent

This residential development project involved the construction of a mix of single-storey and two-storey dwellings on land adjacent to 161 and to the rear of 161–183 Wayfield Road, fronting Frost Crescent in Chatham, Kent. The scheme comprised two pairs of two-bedroom semi-detached bungalows, two two-bedroom detached bungalows, and a single detached two-bedroom house, along with associated access and parking provision. The development was designed to respond to the scale and character of the surrounding residential area, offering a thoughtful balance of density, privacy, and accessibility.

The layout was carefully arranged to make efficient use of an underutilised parcel of land while minimising the impact on neighbouring properties. The bungalows provided level access and low-rise accommodation suitable for a range of occupants, including older residents or those with mobility needs. The detached house was positioned to maintain appropriate separation from existing buildings, ensuring a coherent streetscape and safeguarding residential amenity.

Associated landscaping and parking areas were integrated into the design to enhance the overall setting and functionality of the site. The scheme aligned with local planning policy objectives for sustainable, high-quality housing delivery in established neighbourhoods.
