Darnley Road, Strood ⏐ New Build ⏐ Social Housing
This project comprised the development of 9 terraced and 1 detached three-bedroom homes, replacing the garage compound to the rear of Darnley Close and Carnation Road and side of 310 Darnley Road and 2 Bligh Way.
All dwellings were arranged over three storeys, with the top floor accommodated within the roof space to maintain a sensitive and contextually appropriate roofline. Each home was provided with one off-street parking space, with additional visitor parking located at the site entrance. The existing access road was upgraded to adoptable standards, with design proposals submitted to the local highways authority for review.
The scheme was carefully designed to respond to the character of the surrounding area while providing high-quality, contemporary family housing.
