Heron Way Social Housing
Heron Way was the development of a terrace of three social housing dwellings in Rochester, Kent.
At its heart, this project was about people. These homes provided long-term housing security for individuals and families who might otherwise face housing challenges; with a focus on sensitive design, community integration, and environmental responsibility.
The homes were designed to reflect the character of the surrounding area while meeting modern standards for energy efficiency and sustainable living. Off-street parking, private gardens, and soft landscaping were included to support both residents and local biodiversity.
By making use of an underused site within the existing settlement, this project delivered long-term social value and contributed positively to the local housing mix.
