About Cyma Architects 1

Mark Hall BA(Hons) DipArch ARB RIBA – Managing Director
Mark Hall is the founder and director of Cyma Architects, and is the principal designer, overseeing all projects from inception to completion. His interest in local historic architecture has developed into a detailed knowledge of traditional building design and techniques, particularly of oak frame construction, using this knowledge to preserve and enhance the built environment, creating new buildings within the same lexicon of these principles.  After completing his architectural education at Canterbury College of Art (now the Canterbury School of Architecture), Mark worked for a Kent based design and build contractor, specialising in building conservation and new build oak frame housing, before establishing Cyma Architects in 2000.
