Hamstreet Primary School
This project involved alterations to an existing Victorian school building to create a new mezzanine floor, improve the internal circulation and create a new entrance porch area. The design of the project needed to ensure that the work was completed within a tight, fixed budget and time frame and that consideration was given to sustainability and minimal lifetime costs. The result has been to create a significant area of additional good quality teaching space, improved child management on entry and exit of the building, improved the thermal performance and reduced running costs.
