Project brief:
Our brief was to complete refurbishment and extension of a Grade II Listed Country House. It included substantial rebuilding of the former servants wing part of the house and reproducing period joinery and extending a carved eighteenth century staircase. We also created a new guest room with a green oak arch braced structure.
Key issues:
The building is Grade II Listed. We used Green Oak Frame in the house. Restoring late eighteenth century joinery and ionic door case.
Solutions & successes:
We created a new kitchen by uniting the former servants hall with the kitchen and adding new bay windows. The creation of an impressive new entrance hall, and stairwell with new roof lantern. The creation of a new oak frame guest bedroom, and en-suite. Restoration works the Georgian door case and extension and restoration of the Georgian staircase.
